Graduate Record Examination

GREFunding for graduate study.

The GRE is the standard entrance test for master's and doctoral programs in the United States, and it is often the deciding factor in assistantship and fellowship decisions. Vocabulary is the barrier for most Nepali candidates — and it is the most trainable part of the test.

Test Format

What the exam
actually asks.

Understanding the structure is half the preparation. Every section below is drilled separately in class, then assembled under full test conditions each week.

Score Requirements

What score do you need?

Set your target from the programs you actually want, not from an arbitrary number. These are the thresholds that change what is available to you.

300–310

Admission to many master programs without funding.

310–320

Competitive at good public universities; some funding consideration.

320–330

Strong assistantship and fellowship candidacy.

330+

Top programs and full funding shortlists.

Our Course

Diagnose,
drill, retest.

Nobody improves from lectures alone. Every GRE batch runs the same five-stage loop, and you see your own score curve at each stage.

01

Free diagnostic test

A full-length paper before you enrol, marked section by section, so we know exactly where the marks are leaking.

02

Concept classes in small batches

Maximum twelve students. Strategy and content taught in sequence, with every session building on the last.

03

Daily drills with feedback

Homework is checked and returned the next day. Written work comes back annotated, not just scored.

04

Weekly timed mock tests

Real conditions, real clock, and a score breakdown that shows movement week by week.

05

Target review before booking

We advise booking the real exam only once your mock average sits at or above your target for two consecutive weeks.

What's included

One fee covers the full GRE course. There are no separate charges for material or mock tests.

Complete printed material and answer keys
All mock tests with section-wise analysis
One-to-one feedback on speaking and written tasks
Free repeat of any module you want to redo
Exam registration handled by our front desk
Free counseling session on your score report

Section Strategy

Where the marks are.

Four things our instructors correct in almost every student. None of them require more English — they require a different approach to the test.

Vocabulary

The single highest-return investment. Thirty words a day for eight weeks changes your Verbal score more than any strategy. We drill in context, not from lists alone.

Reading Comprehension

GRE passages are dense and deliberately abstract. Read for structure and the author's stance rather than detail; the questions test reasoning, not recall.

Quantitative

The mathematics is Class 10 level, the traps are not. Quantitative Comparison questions in particular reward technique over calculation.

Analytical Writing

A learnable format. Four to five well-structured paragraphs with concrete examples reliably scores 4.0 or above, which is sufficient for most programs.

Should You Take It?

Is GRE the right
test for you?

Take the GRE for master's and doctoral programs in engineering, science, computing, public health and most social sciences. Take the GMAT instead for MBA and specialised business master's programs — though many business schools now accept either.

Not sure which test?

Sit one free diagnostic and we will tell you which exam gives you the best score for the time you have available — before you pay for any course.

Questions We Get

Honest answers.

What GRE score do I need for a funded master's?
Aim for 320 with a Quantitative score above 165 for engineering and computing programs. Funding decisions weigh Quant heavily in technical fields, and a strong Quant with moderate Verbal is a perfectly viable profile.
Is the GRE still required?
Many programs made it optional and some remain so, but optional does not mean irrelevant. For assistantships and fellowships, a strong score is still one of the clearest signals a committee has. In competitive fields we recommend submitting one.
How hard is GRE maths for Nepali students?
Well within reach — the content stops around Class 10, which most Nepali students have covered thoroughly. The difficulty is question design and time pressure. Verbal is the section that needs the real work.
How long is a GRE score valid?
Five years, the longest of any test we teach. If you are considering graduate study within that window, sitting the GRE while your study habits are current is a sound decision.
