What the exam

Score Requirements

What score do you need?

Set your target from the programs you actually want, not from an arbitrary number. These are the thresholds that change what is available to you.

Band 6.0

Foundation programs, many college diplomas and some undergraduate degrees.

Band 6.5

The most commonly required score. Most bachelor and master programs across all six destinations.

Band 7.0

Nursing registration, teaching, and competitive postgraduate programs. Also the score that unlocks immigration points.

Band 7.5+

Medicine, law, and Chevening or Australia Awards scholarship candidates.

Our Course

Diagnose,
drill, retest.

Nobody improves from lectures alone. Every IELTS batch runs the same five-stage loop, and you see your own score curve at each stage.

01

Free diagnostic test

A full-length paper before you enrol, marked section by section, so we know exactly where the marks are leaking.

02

Concept classes in small batches

Maximum twelve students. Strategy and content taught in sequence, with every session building on the last.

03

Daily drills with feedback

Homework is checked and returned the next day. Written work comes back annotated, not just scored.

04

Weekly timed mock tests

Real conditions, real clock, and a score breakdown that shows movement week by week.

05

Target review before booking

We advise booking the real exam only once your mock average sits at or above your target for two consecutive weeks.

Section Strategy

Where the marks are.

Four things our instructors correct in almost every student. None of them require more English — they require a different approach to the test.

Listening

Predict answers before the recording starts. Most lost marks come from spelling and from missing the shift when a speaker corrects themselves.

Reading

Do not read the passage first. Read the question, locate the answer, move on. Timing is the whole test — sixty minutes for forty answers with no transfer time.

Writing

Task 2 carries twice the weight of Task 1. Learn four essay structures cold, and spend five of your forty minutes planning before you write a word.

Speaking

Extend every answer with a reason and an example. One-sentence answers cap your fluency band no matter how accurate your grammar is.

Should You Take It?

Is IELTS the right
test for you?

IELTS is the safest choice: universally accepted, with a paper option and a human examiner for Speaking. Choose PTE instead if you type quickly and want results in days rather than a fortnight. Choose TOEFL if your target universities are mainly in the United States.

Not sure which test?

Sit one free diagnostic and we will tell you which exam gives you the best score for the time you have available — before you pay for any course.

Questions We Get

Honest answers.

What is a good IELTS score for Nepali students?
Band 6.5 with no section under 6.0 opens the widest range of programs across all six destinations. Below 6.0 your options narrow to foundation and pathway courses. Above 7.0 you start reaching competitive programs and immigration points.
How long should I prepare?
Six weeks of structured classes plus daily practice moves most students up by a full band from their diagnostic. If you need a two-band jump, plan for ten to twelve weeks and expect to work hard between classes.
Should I take Academic or General Training?
Academic for all university admission. General Training is for immigration, professional registration in some countries, and secondary-level study. Sitting the wrong module is a costly mistake — we confirm it before you register.
Computer-delivered or paper-based?
Computer-delivered returns results in three to five days and gives you more test dates; paper-based suits students who prefer annotating passages by hand. Speaking is face to face either way. We help you choose based on your typing speed and reading habits.
